Stress Management

Combining body and mind modalities is the most effective and rapid way to transform disease into wellness and health. Eighty-five percent of health problems are stress related. Some of the stress related issues I address are:

  • heart disease
  • asthma
  • migraines
  • pain
  • cancer
  • inflammation
  • hypertension
  • diabetes
  • obesity
  • autoimmune disease
  • allergies
  • depression

Conventional medicine prescribes drugs or surgery to treat these conditions, bringing relief of symptoms—but the origin of the problem often remains.

My approach goes to the root cause of the problem. When your body and mind are in harmony, you can heal.

I integrate my knowledge of medicine within a holistic practice to optimize the benefits of therapy.

Every single day say yes to life (and don’t be afraid to say no in order to do that). (Brian Andreas)

Integrated Energy Psychology Techniques

Thought Field Therapy

TFT was pioneered by psychologist Roger Callahan, PhD.  Using his knowledge of kinesiology and acupuncture meridians, he discovered how to rapidly release stuck emotions such as anger, depression, phobias, and anxiety by using specific treatment algorithms.  TFT is the first energy psychology modality to receive the designation of Evidence-based Therapy by the National Registry of Evidence-based Procedures and Practices (NREPP).

Focusing technique

Focusing Technique was developed in the 1970s by Gene Gendlin while doing postdoctoral research on successful therapies. He recorded hundreds of therapy sessions and followed the patients for six months. He discovered that he could predict with a 96% accuracy those patients who were going to have successful outcomes, simply by listening to fifteen minutes of their first or second session. He created a simple technique with six steps to allow and facilitate this process. Research has shown that using the first step alone—clearing a space—can improve the quality of life in breast cancer survivors.

Hypnosis

Much research has been done since the 1970s, proving the effectiveness of hypnosis in various medical conditions. Hypnosis is a state of ultra-focused attention to reach the subconscious mind. This technique is used to release negative processes and beliefs from the subconscious and instill new, healthier beliefs that allow for healing and positive change. Recent research reveals that hypnosis can decrease abnormal blood tests that measure inflammation in the heart (C-Reactive Protein, also known as CRP) and generalized inflammation as measured by cytokines and Interleukin-6. This approach is effective even when the subconscious information remains unknown to either practitioner or patient.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

This technique, pioneered by Gary Craig, helps resolve problem issues that hold you back and allows you to embrace a fresh outlook. EFT helps put life situations in perspective and clears you of internal critics, judges, guilt feelings, shame and other negative self-talk, whether conscious or unconscious. It is successful with treating phobias and reducing or eliminating acute or chronic pain.

EFT is performed by tapping on key acupuncture points on the face and body, as well as well as repeating key phrases and reciting relevant affirmation and acceptance statements to instill positive and balancing points of view.

Recent research shows that using EFT can change genetic expression. This means that EFT can help alleviate hereditary diseases as well. Most emotional problems can be resolved within one or two sessions. Other times, additional sessions may be necessary to achieve significant improvement and lasting result. EFT is an evidence-based modality.

Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT)

TAT was developed in 1994 by an acupuncturist and allergy specialist, Tapas Fleming, to clear allergies. The technique evolved over the years to clear trauma, PTSD, pain, and many conditions.

Be Set Free Fast (BSFF)

This technique was developed by Larry Nims in the 1980s. BSFF technique programs the subconscious mind to dissolve negative beliefs feelings or thoughts and instill desirable feelings and programs by using a short cut to the subconscious in the form of a cue.

Ask and Receive

A&R was developed in 2009 by Sandi Radomski, a naturopathic physician and social worker who specializes in eliminating allergies and other physical conditions, and her colleague, Tom Altafer, a social worker. It is a simple and powerful technique that can be used alone or in combination with other energy modalities.
